Crit Nites offers creative community and critical discourse for artists developing their practice to the next level.
Crit Nites In-Person: This event is open to the public and all levels of art. Two Guest Artists show their work for one night, while two Guest Critics lead a constructive discussion about the work with the public community. At the end of each critique night, artists in the audience can enter for a chance to be selected as next month’s featured Guest Artist. The official host for Crit Nites In Person is ICOSA Collective, 916 Springdale Rd. Building 2, #102 Austin, TX 78702
Crit Nites In-Person Co-facilitators are Hayley Labrum Morrison, Casey Alfstad, Darcie Book, and Jonas Criscoe.
Virtual Crit Nites: A virtual critique program that initially formed during quarantine and now operates on a once a year application basis. Artists selected for the programming are carefully curated into 5-7 artists pods, based on career level and personal objectives. Each pod is moderated by a professional artist or curator for the duration of the months. The virtual programming is an intimate, relationship building experience, and is intentionally selective in order to prioritize the development of both emerging and seasoned contemporary artists.
Applications are currently closed and will reopen this spring.
